Linda has been working hard in the shed getting ready for the book sale, be sure to say hi to her and thanks for all her hard work! Also consider becoming an active Friends of the Milton Library Member, Linda can direct you to the applications, take your membership fee and coordinate your volunteer work with our group. Linda needs help, so what are you waiting for? Please volunteer!

Some of the sale items will be  2/$1 cookbooks, self help and financial and 10/$1 romance novels and so many categories such as Sports, Science, Classics/Literature, Reference, Coffee Table,  Hobbies/Crafts, History, Science Fiction, Western, Magazines, Readers Digest, Large Print, Humor, Gardening, Travel, True Crimes, Spiritual, and Biography

Happy Birthday Santa Rosa County Library System August 10 Join us in celebrating the Santa Rosa County Library System’s 10th birthday! The library system has made some changes over the past 10 years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the significant contributions the library system has made to the community. To thank you for being part of our story, enter to win a $10 gift card for a book store when you check out items on the 10th of each month through October. Gift cards are provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Library groups. There will be one winner each month at each library. In October, a special birthday party will be held at all five Santa Rosa County libraries in Gulf Breeze, Jay, Milton, Navarre, and Pace. Stay tuned for details!

August is Audiobook Appreciation Month Have you planned a long road trip or decided to do some yard work and want to read a good book? Summer reading can also be summer listening. Celebrate Audiobook Appreciation Month by checking out a variety of audiobooks from any Santa Rosa County Library in Gulf Breeze, Jay, Milton, Navarre, and Pace. We offer books on cd, Playaways and eAudiobooks that you can download from One Click Digital. We have hundreds of titles to choose from.

Graphic Novel Book Club – Milton Library Aug 16, 5 p.m. Join fellow graphic novel enthusiasts at the Milton Library on the third Tuesday each month to discuss the book of the month. This club will be enjoyed by the new and seasoned graphic novel reader. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests, and discuss the world of the graphic novel. This month’s title is “Megatokyo, Volume 1” by Fred Gallagher. Please speak with a staff member to sign up. The Milton Library is located at 5541 Alabama St.

Spring 2016 Book Sale was a Big Success

Report on Spring Book Sale

From the time of our last book sale in the fall FOML volunteers have been working toward the Spring Book Sale. Organizing and sorting the many donations of our generous community. All of the donations of books and money keeps our organization together to help our local library. Whole families turned out for the fun! FOML’s Book Committee with the help of Volunteers from NAS Whiting Field supervised by Dave Castro did a lot of the heavy lifting and were able to put together a wide selection of books for every age group in our community. It was a lot of work! Thankfully, we saw many satisfied customers and we seemed to outdo sales in the past. The money earned will assist our library system with supplies, furniture, books, equipment and programs. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our community, and a fond farewell to Dave Castro. Good Luck Dave on yournew posting in San Diego, we are indebted to the volunteers from NAS Whiting Field for saving our older backs. Welcome to Dave’s replacement TJ Wever. The efforts of our own volunteers and especially our own FOML Book Committee members are greatly needed and appreciated.

VOLUNTEER TO HELP with the Friends of the Milton Library Book Sale in May. Set up is May 5th at 1pm, and then Book Sale is Fri. May 6 at 9am to 4pm, and Sat. Book Sale at Milton Florida Library

Our group the Friends of the Milton Library are having a book sale.

It is on Friday November 6 from 9 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday November 7 from 9 am to noon.

It is held in the back of Library in meeting room, please enter from the outside door, not through the Library.

Come out and support your Library and get some early Christmas Bargains!

You can also get information on our group while you are there.
